About HPE Networking Instant On
HPE Networking Instant On is aimed at small businesses and enterprise edge sites that need dependable managed switching without a network team. Devices are set up, monitored and managed from a cloud-hosted web portal and a mobile app, with guided step-by-step installation and no requirement for cloud keys, VPN or other on-site management hardware.
The family is built on smart-managed Layer 2 Ethernet switching: VLANs, spanning tree with RSTP, link aggregation, IGMP snooping, port mirroring and QoS with four hardware queues, alongside Class 4 Power over Ethernet on the PoE models for access points, IP phones, surveillance cameras, door locks and other IoT devices.
Commercially, Instant On removes recurring cost from the equation: HPE states that all features are included in the hardware price with no subscription or licensing fees, and the family carries a limited lifetime warranty with chat support for the life of the product. The Switch Series 1840 is the line Lizora Infotech supplies in India.

Yes. Individual switches can be managed from a local web GUI, which supports up to five HTTP and HTTPS sessions and includes a quick start-up wizard for initial settings. Cloud management is optional, not mandatory.
How many admin accounts does an Instant On site support?
Instant On allows three admin accounts per site, with the option to lock accounts against accidental deletion. Each site is logically separated with its own configuration, statistics, guest portal and admin read/write privileges.
Do Instant On switches support two-factor authentication?
Yes. Two-Factor Authentication is available as an additional layer of authentication on the Instant On cloud account, intended to reduce risk from compromised login credentials.
Do Instant On switches work with Instant On access points?
Yes. Instant On switches automatically detect Instant On access points and apply the highest (critical) PoE priority to them for uninterrupted power. Wired and wireless voice traffic is prioritised end-to-end with high QoS priority.
