What wireless bridges are used for
A wireless bridge replaces a cable you cannot lay: across a road, between buildings, up to a camera pole. One radio at each end forms a point-to-point link; a base station with a sector antenna serves several CPE clients in point-to-multipoint.
The Lysora range covers the Base5i base station (15 dBi, 120° sector, 5 km), the CPE5 long-reach client (16 dBi, 5 km, gigabit ports), and the CPE3-P camera-pole unit (13 dBi, 3 km) with a 15.4 W PoE output that powers the camera directly.

Bridge links succeed or fail at the survey stage. Four checks before you order.
Line of sight, verified
5 GHz links need a clear path — trees, parapets, and future construction all degrade them. Walk both ends and check the path before fixing mount points.
Distance with margin
CPE3-P covers 3 km, CPE5 and Base5i 5 km. Rated reach assumes clean line of sight; plan real links comfortably inside the rating.
PTP or PTMP topology
Two sites: a CPE pair point-to-point. Several remote ends toward one location: a Base5i sector with CPE clients — up to 5 per TDMA group.
Power and handoff at each end
Check what feeds each unit (PoE injector, switch, or DC) and what the remote end hands off to. Camera poles favour the CPE3-P's PoE output; gigabit handoffs need the CPE5.

The CPE5 and Base5i are rated to 5 km and the CPE3-P to 3 km, all at up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz with clear line of sight. Obstructions reduce rate and reliability, so surveyed real-world links should stay inside the rating with margin.
Can a bridge link carry CCTV camera traffic?
Yes — camera backhaul is the most common use. A single 4MP camera stream is a small fraction of the 867 Mbps radio rate, and the CPE3-P even powers the camera through its 15.4 W PoE output at the pole.
