A warehouse is a hostile environment for wireless: tall metal racking reflects and blocks signal, aisles change as stock moves, and coverage has to reach handheld scanners, forklift terminals, and the yard outside. Distances also routinely exceed the 100 m copper limit between the office and the far end of the floor.

This solution combines access points placed for aisle and rack coverage, fibre or wireless bridge links to span long runs, and PoE switching for cameras and access points. Where conditions are dusty or unheated, industrial-rated switching is used instead of commercial hardware.

Coverage is validated against how the racking is actually laid out, because a plan drawn on an empty floor rarely survives contact with full pallet racking.
